今朝について

135 Year’s History, Traditional Taste. we’ve started in 1880 and had been known as a Gyu-nabe restaurant on Shibaguchi (now Higashi-Shimbashi), near the first railway station Shimbashi.

We have been also referred by many famous literary works such as “Danchotei Nichijo” by Kafu Nagai, “Chinchin densha” by Bunroku Shishi, and “Gyunabe kara sukiyaki e” by Roppa Furukawa etc. When postwar period, Jiro Nitta and Kyu Sakamoto regularly visited us.

We serve Japanese Black focusing on specially selected Matsusaka-beef, soy sauce based Wari-shita (sauces) and sophisticated vegetables. That’s all our tradition for more than a century.

September 10th, 1880, it’s the day we Imaasa started.

Jiro Imaasa who first opened his restaurant here has trained on sukiyaki restaurant “Imahiro” in Ginza Brick Street. After that he named his restaurant “Imaasa”. The name means franchise of his former restaurant and his name.
